Kicking off 2025 with 6 New CASA Advocates and 2 New Staff Members!
We’re starting 2025 on a high note as we celebrate the swearing-in of six new CASA volunteer advocates and two new staff members! On January 7, 2025, these incredible individuals took their oaths before the Honorable Eugene Butler at the Amherst County Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court, marking the beginning of their journey as strong voices for children in our community.
This was our first-ever intensive pre-service training class, spanning just four weeks with sessions held twice a week. These inductees worked diligently, absorbing valuable knowledge and skills to prepare them for the important role of advocacy.
Interested in becoming a casa volunteer?
CASA volunteers play a critical role in advocating for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. As a volunteer, you will get to know the child, gather information from those involved in their lives, and provide detailed reports to the court to help judges make informed decisions about their future. You’ll be their voice, ensuring their best interests are at the heart of every decision and helping them find a safe, permanent home.
Becoming a CASA volunteer starts with learning more about the role and the difference you can make. Visit our Volunteer Page for details, and take your first step by attending an information session. These sessions provide a deeper understanding of what it means to be a CASA and how you can get involved. Check out our Upcoming Events Page to sign up for an info session today!
