Thank you Superhero Fundraisers!

A few months ago, we set a goal to raise $10,000 in donations through the 4th Annual CASA Superhero Run. We have exceeded our goal and the donations are still coming in! Right now we have collected nearly $14,000! Many thanks to our amazing superhero fundraisers who not only signed up to run or walk in the upcoming race, but also spent a great deal of time and energy to raise money for our mission.

Our contest ended on October 15 and our top 3 fundraisers are:

Alyssa Peterson: raised $3,741 and won a weekend trip to Williamsburg including a two-night stay at Great Wolf Lodge and tickets to Busch Gardens ($800 value!)

Michael Purcell: raised $3,525 and won four gold season passes to Kings Dominion ($500 value!)

Caitlin Jack: raised $1,050 and won a “staycation” package of gift certificates to local restaurants and activities ($300 value!)

There’s still time to fundraise for CASA and win some superhero swag! Earn special items for reaching fundraising milestones:

CASA of Central Virginia serves around 300 children who have been abused or neglected in the greater Lynchburg area each year with about 100 volunteer advocates (or as we like to call them, superheroes). All proceeds from the CASA Superhero Run stay right here in our community helping local children. Many children can’t run from abuse. We dare you to move, get involved, make an impact, and help change your community for the better. Thank you Superheroes!!!
