Board Spotlight: Stacey Moody
Hi, I’m Stacey Moody and I serve on the board of directors for CASA of Central Virginia.I grew up locally and graduated from Rustburg High School in Campbell County. I earned a BS in Economics from Longwood University.
I married my high school sweetheart, Brian, and have two children, David (16) and Anna (12). We enjoy spending time with our extended family and frequently can be found on the family farm horseback riding, fishing, or working.
I have worked at Genworth for 22 years in a number of roles. My family and I enjoy attending Blue Ridge Community Church and serve in their Kids Community area.
I’m blessed to have had a stable and loving family environment growing up. Unfortunately that’s not the case for everyone. Many children right here in our local area know abuse &/or neglect firsthand. 63% of those kids are age 11 or under. That’s why I serve as a board member and volunteer for our Central Virginia CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). They train volunteers who serve as a powerful voice for these vulnerable children in very difficult situations.
I’m looking forward to our biggest fundraiser for CASA – the November 3rd Superhero Run. Run, walk, volunteer or donate – any effort you can contribute could make a huge difference in the life of a local child! I’ll be congratulating participants at the finish line - hope to see you there!
