Creating and Supporting a Kin-First Culture

Please join us as the Permanency and Resource Family Consultants from the Piedmont Region, along with Kathy McElroy, Bedford County Foster Care and Adoption Supervisor, discuss recent guidance changes to prioritize approving kin as foster parents. Discussions will include the history of approving kin, why it is important, and how it best meets the needs of the children and families we serve. Ample time will be allotted for questions and answers.

Open to CASA of Central Virginia volunteer advocates only.

CASA volunteers will receive 2 in-service hours for this training.
