In Virginia, only 26% of children get returned to their family, compared to the national average of 50%. At CASA of Central Virginia, we understand the importance of this journey, as we work to train volunteers who advocate for children. While we know reunification is not always possible, safely reuniting children with their family of origin is the first priority. It offers families an opportunity to heal, grow, and rebuild their lives together. Here are a few reasons to encourage reunification.
